Simplicity and Content


Welcome to Heart of the Home...

Ladies.. the Lord has really been speaking to me
lately about
Simplicity and Contentment..
You  know how it is when every where you go
some one says something, or you read something
and it all comes back to the subject that God
is trying to get across to us..
(and we have the nerve to think he isnt always involved in our everyday lives. Ha!)

Well his message to me , as Im sure a lot of you ladies
will feel the same way is.:

Why cant you just be "Content"?

Why do you thirst for more , cant you
enjoy what I have given you..

Why isnt it enough?

Dont you see the sun come up and shine for
you every morning?
The flower bloom, the wind blow,
the birds sing..
I do that for YOU..
Are you hungry? Do you have selter?
Arent there people around you that love you?
Including Me.
 

1 Timothy 6:5-7
But godliness with contentment is great gain. 
 For we brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it.
 
Keep your lives free from the love of money
 and be content with what you have,
 because God has said,
“Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.”
I know what it is to be in need,
 and I know what it is to have plenty.
 I have learned the secret of being content
 in any and every situation,
whether well fed or hungry,
whether living in plenty or in want.

Be Joyful always, Pray continually
giving THANKS in all circumstances for this
is GODS will for you in Christ Jesus
1Thes 5:16
I pray we will all be
     content with where we are at this moment.
With what we have and stop this visious cycle of
I WANT...
I NEED...
I DESERVE....

Take delight in the LORD,
   and he will give you
 the desires of your heart
Psalms 37:4

  1. What a great post and some great Scriptures to go with today's topic. I struggle with contentment sometimes. Although, right now, in a realy practical way , I'm just asking God to help me be content with what I have right now.
