Do you have something that needs to Die..

Do you ever wonder why it seems like
sometimes God is taking his sweet ole time
to come and save us from a trial that is
going on in our lives..

I have, many of times.. I would almost
get to my wits end, and then "with attitude"
come to Jesus.. and say,, Dont you see
what I am going through..
are you just going to stand
there and let this happen?

This is the same way Martha and Mary,
Lazarus's Sisters felt..
Martha said to Jesus after Lazarus had
died and had been laid to rest.
She said Lord , if you would of been here my
brother would not of had to die!
(And probably with a little attitude herself)
But Jesus knew that Lazarus was already dead,
but he wanted his old life to die, and he wanted to
bring him a New life, for all the people to see..
To Glorify God..

Just maybe we have things in our lives that
Need to die.... Maybe his plan it to replace those
things that need to die with something better that
will Glorify God.. Hummmmm??????

But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever,
the purpose of this heart through all generations.
Psalms 33:11

(in other words...
I think he knows what he is doing !
even if we dont always get it right away ! )
God Bless.. Have a great week..

  1. Hi! Thanks for stopping by my blog. Enjoying yours ... looking forward to serving the Lord together. Loved your point about there being things that need to die -- to be used for His glory. How hard it is, though! Thanks for the encouragement today!

  3. I never thought about it like that, it is true, I never want to let what God is asking me to let go of and to let it die.
Choosing to die daily, is very hard to do, and thanks for the reminder.

  4. Some good thoughts. However, the light colors used in some of the text made it difficult for me to read.

  5. Thanks for stopping by my blog.

I feel that God is asking me to give up 'something' in my daily life and let it die. I know that letting it die will be a big help to me and my family but I never considered it would bring glory to God. Thanks for bringing it to my attention, I needed that.

  10. Why do we hold onto things that we shouldn't when letting them die would bring something better? It is just plain silly that us humans have such a hard time trusting God!

  11. This post is right on target! I hear the bells tolling right now. For whom the bell tolls? The old nature in me! That's who.

"Behold I make all things new."
and thankfully He does! In His time. :)
    Thank you! :)

I'm dealing with something right now that I'm trying to decide if it needs to die or not. It's hard to decide sometimes what is the best.

  17. I read a book from a Christian leader, and he said that the hardest moments in life have become his sweetest memories. God is so tender, and He carries us closely through difficulties!

  19. Attitude is a great place to start!
The Lord knows our hearts, so He sees the pain. But as He suffered for me, I don't want to take Him or His grace for granted. Heaven forbid!!

  20. Yes, I do have things that need to die, I have learned that His time table is not ours. And He certainly knows better than I what needs to be done and when. Thank you both for your inspiration.
