What is grace? – The action of abundant kindness - even to the most undeserving of people.

Many of us try to manage our relationship with God through our behavior . We forget that God looks at the heart, that He desires, “love, mercy, & grace”. We barter with God (whether consciously or not) that If I do this, the end result will be this. Sister, that is dangerous thinking!! When the result we want doesn’t happen, anger & bitterness can creep in. These expectations we put on God actually hinder him from working in our life
We should seek God’s heart & direction for our life. In doing this, the Spirit of God will move us to be a person who extends His wonderful grace to others. We must not let our senses dominate our thinking. Remember - We have inherited the Divine Nature - now form habits. No woman is born with good character & good habits, she has to form character & habits based on the new life God has put in her. Spending time with God is the best way to develop seeing eyes & hearing ears. This will enable us to be aware of unseen things even as we live out our life in the visible world.

To be a graceful person and walk out a life of grace, we must be willing to make a transition. We are often asked to step out of our comfort zone and enter a risk zone by climbing into someone else’s world. We need to be able & willing to identify with this person and be a solution to their dilemma.

Recently, I have had to make adjustments to the way I interact with my kids. Texting is a BIG way of communicating in this generation’s world. I have had to learn how to communicate via text in order to stay in touch with my kids. Now, I’m very convinced that future generations will look back & say…. They had the amazing ability to TALK thru airwaves & they chose to TYPE their thoughts to communicate??? LOL. I’m just saying….

Last week I stopped to talk with the homeless man that lives behind the building where I work. It was a simple conversation, but it was filled with talk about his dog that was with him & his concern for her. This was what was important to him & I was able to identify with him on this level.

As you go about your day, look for opportunities God has placed in your path. Be willing to identify with others, transition to their world & be a solution to their dilemma.

We look forward to hearing your stories on how you were able to crawl into another’s world & touch them with the grace & the   character you have developed from spending time with HIM.

God Bless ♥ Missy

  1. Paul says that the law is the ministry of death and the ministry of condemnation. And I believe that rather than saying how much we love God, like Peter did, we should talk about how much God loves us, like James! My friend just got fired from her job, and here is what she told her boss. "Working for this company is harder than being a Christian. Because when you are a Christian, you have grace!" I hope that made them think, I was proud of her!

  3. that is soo true.. we do place expectations upon God for our lives at times and when things don't turn out the way we expected we get angry at Him.. i am so thankful that He is very gracious, merciful and longsuffering to us even when we do this. In the end he always shines thru with His love and helps us to understand a little better and brings His peace back into our lives... thankyou for sharing such a beautiful blog, it's so very encouraging..

  4. the photo of the homeless man and his dog has stabbed me right in my heart. the photos tells it's own story, no words needed. it says LOVE in capital letters and i looked at it yesterday but could not comment, the tears came to my eyes. i have a heart for the homeless and love all dogs. i agree with all your words here 100 percent. that photo speaks volumes and is a reminder to me of my intentions to volunteer at the local shelter, and i keep putting it off.
